Programs we offer:

WEEKEND BOOT CAMP:
Our weekend boot camp is designed to work with troubled youth in a short period of time. They check in on Friday and check out on Sunday. During this period of time we will address such issues as academic awareness, attitude, family functioning, drug and alcohol abuse, pregnancy prevention, anger management, leadership, and any other concern the parent/guardian may have. The parent completes a questionnaire which gives us an idea as to the issues they have been dealing with. Our aftercare program is available for youth who stay in the area.

7 to 30 DAY PROGRAM:
This program is available for youth who may need to spend a little more time addressing their issues. They rise up at 6:00 am doing exercises with our Drill Instructor. They may have to exercise a number of times throughout the day, depending on the groups behavior. They will attend group sessions. Speakers are brought in to address certain issues. We use former inmates, funeral directors, police, therapist, and counselors.

If a child is brought in during school time, we will usually put him/her in independent study. In this way they do not leave the facility for their schooling. A tutor is provided.  We do this because we do not want a child who has been sent to us to be influenced by outside peers to run away.

RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM:
This program is for youth who may need to stay with us for several months. They will go through pretty much all the sessions mentioned above.  All youth are given daily chores. We have had youth for as long as 14 months.  This is not the norm but whatever needs to be done to help youth get back on track, we do. The average length of stay is 90 days. The youth are usually ready to go home much sooner but discussions between parent and staff may warrant keeping them longer to be sure the child understands and does not revert back to negative behavior.

IN HOME INSPECTION SERVICE:
We find this service to be very useful. We come to the home and see what the issues are. We spend about 4 hours talking to parent(s) and the child.  The majority of time is spent talking to the child. We let the child know that we were called into the home because of concerns with their behavior. The end result is the child understanding that there behavior is truly unacceptable and if it continues, they will end up in boot camp. We explain the program to them.  This approached has worked 95% of the time. It instills a little fear in the youth. We let them also know that it is not necessary for the parent to bring them to our program. We will pick them up.
